Apollo Healthcare Property Fund acquires Care and treatment centre in Leusden
The Social housing corporation Leusden (WSL) recently sold the Care and treatment centre “De Tolgaarde” in Leusden. The Care and treatment centre has a surface of approximately 1,000m² and is fully rented by a general practitioner practice, pharmacy, physiotherapy practice, dental practice and various other primary care providers. Hartelt Fund Management has purchased the complex on behalf of the Apollo Healthcare Property Fund. This fund is specialized in housing and healthcare facilities for the elderly and / or people with (health)care needs. Capital Value supervised the sale on behalf of WSL.
Hans van Haastrecht, Housing Manager at WSL: “Our core task is to accommodate people who cannot manage on the housing market themselves. A care and treatment centre is not part of our core strategy, therefore we decided to sell it. We will use the proceeds to invest in homes for our main target group in Leusden.” Michel van Oostvoorn, Director Investments of Hartelt Fund Management: “We are very pleased with the acquisition of this future-proof, multidisciplinary Care and treatment centre, which we were able to add to the portfolio in close cooperation with WSL. The centre responds to the desire to combine different healthcare disciplines and bring them closer to people.”
Manon Kuipers, healthcare real estate specialist at Capital Value: “Health centres such as Tolgaarde are very popular with investors. It concerns a recently built high-quality building that meets the requirements of today. Due to its central location, the centre has a wide range and fulfils an important social function in the district. The long-term leases also make the property an attractive investment.”
